BEST-SELLING AUTHOR BRINGING HER "BLUE OCEAN STRATEGY" TO
TNB CARD SERVICES PAYMENTS CONFERENCE IN OCTOBER

DALLAS – July 3, 2006 – Renée Mauborgne, co-author of the international business bestseller “Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant,” will be the keynote speaker at TNB Card Services’ 2006 Payments Conference, October 11-13 at the Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, Texas.

Mauborgne, a recognized expert on business strategy, innovation, and wealth, will discuss the principles and tools for identifying the strategic moves credit unions can make to capture their own “blue oceans” of untapped market space. Her presentation will be based on the strategy addressed in the best-selling book that Mauborgne co-authored with W. Chan Kim.

TNB’s Payments Conference is aimed at a broad range of credit union management, from CEOs, CFOs, and Chief Lending Officers to credit and debit card program managers, ATM managers and marketing professionals. Conference speakers and sessions will address issues of importance to all levels of credit union professionals.

Other speakers include Dennis Moroney, senior research analyst for the Tower Group, Chip Filson, president of Callahan & Associates, Maureen Maddox, senior business leader with MasterCard, Jeff Rankin, senior vice president with Visa, and John McCabe, chief equity specialist with Shay Assets Management. Moroney will talk about the future of credit, as well as legislative, electoral, and economic issues, bankruptcy, retention/usage, and customer service. Filson will examine growth opportunities for credit unions. Maddox will discuss MasterCard’s emerging payment technologies. Rankin will discuss the direction of Visa and its products and services. McCabe will discuss the political, economic, and demographic outlook for credit unions.

“From Renée Mauborgne through our entire range of speakers, credit union attendees will learn strategies to help them attract new members and tap new markets,” said Scott Wagner, executive vice president of TNB Card Services. “Our goal with this conference is to assist credit unions in growing their member base and product offerings by providing innovative solutions along with practical advice.”
