Golden Plains Credit Union Selects TNB Card Services for Signature Debit and Credit Card Processing
Dallas – November 6, 2007 – Golden Plains Credit Union, the third largest credit union in Kansas, with assets of $210 million, is moving its signature debit and credit card processing to TNB Card Services. The credit union will move 5,400 signature debit cards and more than 3,000 credit cards to TNB’s processing platform, in a move designed to gain processing efficiencies and add the flexibility to market and grow the card programs.
The 33,000-member Golden Plains CU averages $2.6 million in debit transactions per month and carries $3.9 million in outstanding balances with its credit card portfolio.
"By combining all our debit and credit card processing through TNB, we will become more efficient. We also gain more program flexibility, stronger marketing campaigns, and a professional customer service organization, which will better serve our members," said Erich Schaefer, Member-President of Golden Plains Credit Union.
Schaefer added that the decision to partner with TNB was an easy one, since he had worked with TNB at another credit union several years ago. On top of his own experience, he said, other credit unions that he consulted praised TNB’s service.
"Golden Plains is a great example of a credit union that realizes the value of streamlining its card processing," said Dusty Bowers, senior vice president and national sales manager of TNB Card Services. "Our expertise and products will improve the productivity of Golden Plains' card program and give their members a more competitive card product."
Established in 1951, Golden Plains Credit Union serves its membership through 10 branches in western Kansas.
