PrimeWay Federal Credit Union Partners with TNB
Card Services for Processing, Portfolio Consulting
Dallas – September 4, 2007 – PrimeWay Federal Credit Union of Houston, a $248 million
credit union with nearly 7,000 credit card accounts, is moving its credit card processing to TNB
Card Services, TNB announced today.
The credit union, one of the largest in southeast Texas, is also completing an extensive revamp of
its credit card portfolio through TNB’s portfolio consulting service as it upgrades to its new
processing partner.
Randal Ward, vice president of lending and collections for PrimeWay, said the credit union
decided to partner with TNB for card processing for several reasons. "TNB has expertise in
portfolio management, an improved data interface, and additional product options," Ward
explained. "We look forward to the broader product line for our members and more efficient
member service."
PrimeWay saw the portfolio consulting service as a way to enhance the card program’s growth
opportunities, Ward noted, and he has been impressed with the consulting team’s performance.
"They are highly professional, and they address issues and concerns in a very proactive fashion.
They are definitely applying their expertise to all the details necessary for a successful
processing conversion and a growing credit card portfolio," Ward said.
PrimeWay has already implemented several of the portfolio consulting team’s recommendations,
Ward said, and later this fall will implement additional recommendations, including variable
interest rates and enhanced program features.
