ISU CU Partners with TNB for Credit Card Processing
Dallas, April 27, 2009 - In preparation for expanding through a community charter, ISU Credit Union of Normal, Illinois, is
moving its card processing operation to TNB Card Services. The $73 million credit union has turned to TNB so it can develop a card product
that will be more competitive and attractive to its Illinois State University members and the surrounding community.
TNB will work with ISU to restructure its $2 million card portfolio to position it for growth in balances and cardholders. ISU said the
primary reasons it moved its card operations to TNB were TNB's 24/7 call center, the Rewards2U® loyalty program, card management tools,
such as VIP CardStation™ and Portfolio Pro™, and TNB's marketing expertise and capabilities.
"As part of our comprehensive youth financial education program, we intend to use the card to teach our 18-year old members about financial
responsibility," said Thom Ewen, CEO and president of ISU Credit Union. "To do this we need tools, resources, and an experienced staff, which
is what TNB brings to the table."
Ewen added "TNB is a one stop shop for all of our card management needs, including its understanding of best practices, and an infrastructure
to manage all the pieces of the card program. TNB will be a good mentor for us."
ISU Credit Union, originally founded to serve the university, will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. The credit union has two branches
and 10,000 members.
