TNB Card Services Leads Clients Through Card Reform Changes

Dallas, July 29, 2009 - TNB Card Services conducted its second in a series of proactive web seminars July 28 to keep clients on track for complying with the upcoming credit card regulatory reform changes brought about by the CARD Act of 2009 and UDAP regulations. The compliance webinar focused on the major reform changes required by the rules taking effect August 20, as well as looking ahead to the February 20, 2010, changes. TNB's clients received information related to clarifications from the Federal Reserve Board that affect the August 20 changes and a preview of cardholder statement changes with the February and July 2010 regulations.

"Our approach is to help our clients simplify what could be a complex process to comply with the new card reform legislation. Clients appreciate TNB going the extra mile and streamlining the process," commented Mark Fenner, senior vice president with TNB Card Services. "TNB continues to prove that with the right support and expertise, credit unions large and small can thrive with competitive payment products and services for their members."

TNB clients have convenient access to a recorded version of the July 28 webinar in the Regulatory Compliance section of TNB's online "Client Center" at www.tnbcard.com. The section includes the information needed to prepare for the upcoming deadlines along with regulatory documentation and disclosure templates. Additionally, TNB has posted a new position paper designed to help its credit union clients assess fixed versus variable rate pricing strategies in the era of card reform. The paper leverages TNB's expertise as clients consider the critical issues involved in either scenario to maintain a credit card portfolio's health.

TNB Card Services will continue its webinar series throughout 2009 to assist credit unions in understanding the requirements of the new regulations and implementing the program changes needed.
